In today’s world where the social and academic pressures on young people are so great, it is vital that we provide them with outlets for their stresses. With the onset of social media and smart phones allowing safe spaces like the family home to be encroached upon and traditional down times like car journeys, waiting rooms, even meal times being filled with digital communication rather than human contact, our children are at risk of loneliness and isolation like never before.

At Maddy’s Mark we believe sport is the answer.

Rugby specifically is a community where all body types are welcome, where a girl’s strength is celebrated and with women’s rugby gathering popularity year on year clubs are always glad for new recruits.

Rugby is a sport which embraces effort, reliance and trust in your teammates and requires total concentration, forcing troubles of life to take a back seat during sessions.

Aside from the obvious physical benefits of exercise improving our health, we hope your daughter can find somewhere to belong, to be her true self, an escape from her worries and a team that values and relies on her.
