Alice and Felix, lower sixth students from Churcher’s College took on the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race – 4 Days, 118 Miles, 77 Locks, 20 April 2025
We cannot thank Alice and Felix enough for taking on this mammoth endeavour to raise over £2,695 for Maddy’s Mark. After months of practice and preparation in all weathers, mostly very inclement, this most gruelling of challenges culminated over the Easter weekend with four days of rowing 118 miles, involving 77 portages. How they managed such an incredible feat shows just how strong and determined they were and they have our deep and most deserved respect.
We know that although it was Alice and Felix doing the rowing, there was a wonderful, tireless team behind them and we extend our huge congratulations and gratitude to everyone involved. Maddy would be so thrilled.
