100 days To Go. Brighton celebrates!

With 100 days to go until the launch of the Woman’s Rugby World Cup, Maddy’s Mark were delighted to join Hove Rugby Club’s Girls Rugby Festival.
24 Year 8s and 9s spent the morning learning how to coach the game in T1 rugby and then this training was put into excellent practice in the afternoon as enthusiastic girls from Years 3, 4 and 5 arrived from 13 schools around the area, all eager to learn how to play tag rugby.
Their T1 activities included Rounders Rugby and Raggy Tag. Before finishing they then played a T1 End ball game.
The event was extremely well organised and it was clear to see how much the girls were enjoying themselves. Our thanks go to everyone involved, including coaches and staff from the RFU AND Quins.

As Lyla from Hove Park said “I didn’t play before secondary school because I thought it was just for boys. But then I tried it and loved it. ” Wonderful
