Jason Robinson Foundation has been working with girls’ programmes in Leeds and Manchester schools.
A brilliant collaboration between Maddy’s Mark and the Jason Robinson Foundation to:
⭐️ increase girl’s participation in rugby
⭐️ promote positive physical & mental wellbeing
⭐️ improve outcomes for children & young people living in deprived areas of the UK
Jason Robinson was there to give some valuable pointers and talk to the girls about his own experience 🌟 🏉 🏆
“So great to see such an energetic & talented group of girls – the engagement in the sessions delivered by our amazing coach @ttanumi_ was fantastic to witness! ❤️”
Our next ambition for these groups is to improve links & pathways to local clubs to see them carry on their development outside of the school gates & further improve their participation in sport.
We all know by now that female engagement in sport dramatically declines in teenage years, we want the power of sport to continue to help these girls throughout these challenging years and open up more opportunities & aspirations for them.
We are looking forward to being able to return to Mount St Mary’s next academic year! 🫶🏽 💥
In Leeds, the girls have really been enjoying the sessions and are already progressing well and are playing matches against other schools.
And in Manchester, JRF are delivering girls rugby to secondary school Y8 and Y11 groups, with reports back that
“The rugby coaching with the girls’ group is progressing positively. The girls have shown good enthusiasm and engagement, and their understanding of game strategy is growing.”
Maddy’s Mark is delighted to be working with this world class foundation.
